We are looking for a QTS Teacher to teach in a lovely SEN school based in Walsall.

The school is for pupils aged 5-18 and is designated for moderate learning difficulties. 

You must have a Child and Adult DBS and QTS for this positon. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and dynamic English lessons to secondary school students, following the national curriculum and incorporating innovative teaching methodologies.
  • Foster a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that encourages active participation, critical thinking, and creativity.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching resources, technologies, and assessment strategies to meet the diverse needs of students and promote academic excellence.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback to support their development and achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues within the English department and across subject areas to share best practices, resources, and interdisciplinary learning opportunities.
  • Engage with parents/guardians and other stakeholders to provide updates on student progress, address concerns, and foster positive relationships.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
  • Bachelor's degree in English Literature, English Language, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching English at the secondary level, preferably within the UK education system.
  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for English language, literature, and literacy development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students of varying backgrounds and abilities.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment that values diversity and promotes equality.
