We have an exciting opportunity for a QA Supervisor to join the leading global manufacturer of this household chemical product working within their production facility based in Mold where there is capacity to produce over 100 million units! The role will include early Friday finishes and free parking!

This QA Supervisor role is a permanent full time position working Monday to Thursday 8.30am – 5pm and 8.30am – 2.00pm on Fridays on a salary of circa £30 - 35,000 per annum dependent on experience.

As QA Supervisor, you will report directly into the QA Manager, and will be the primary contact, and ‘subject matter expert’ for all routine matters relating to quality on site. You will supervise and coach a team of SHEQ Technicians and will also work alongside the QA Technician and Site Chemist, supporting and advising when required. Your role will include the following responsibilities:
  • Participate in internal and external audits, plus accident and incident investigations where required.
  • Manage non-conformance and customer complaints reporting, driving each report through to the root cause and preventative actions.
  • Manage complaints database, covering customer and supplier complaints.
  • Supporting in managing Supplier Assessment folder, to highlight when new proof of certification is required.
  • Take ownership of Laboratory and Quality Procedure documents.
  • Manage the On-Hold and Rework system, supervising & advising any team members working with these systems.
  • Maintain HACCP’s.
  • Operate to the standards set out in our Quality Manual and Quality Procedures and actively support others to maintain the standards.
  • As Supervisor, adhere to the obligations within the SHEQ management system and support employees to comply with the system and perform their role.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of the Laboratory, including all associated equipment.
  • Store and manage any routine checks and test paperwork required as future evidence of Quality Assurance.
  • Communicate non-conformance issues to key stakeholders.
  • Provide any ongoing support, advice and coaching to enable all personnel to meet their quality responsibilities.
  • Train and Coach SHEQ Technicians in the Quality Procedures and Laboratory Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Periodic visits to external warehouses to confirm good practices are in place.
  • Occasional visits to customer and suppliers related to specific quality issues.
  • Discuss quality issues with customers and suppliers with the purpose of continual improvement.

We are really keen to hear from applicants with the following:
  • Previous experience as a QA Supervisor, Quality Assurance Supervisor, Quality Control Supervisor or similar
  • Experience within the manufacturing industry
  • Ability to supervise a team of up to 10 quality personnel
  • Good IT skills including MS Office and QA Systems
  • Proven analytical skills
  • Good knowledge of ISO9001, and BRCGS would be useful but not essential
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, change oriented environment with a customer focused approach
