The Engineering & Manufacturing division of SF Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced QA Manager to be part of an expanding team with a well-established business within the tool and equipment industry.

Scope of role

- Take overall responsibility for vendor / manufacturing compliances
- Create product specifications and a gold standard for both manufacturing and vendors
- Devise rigorous testing systems for all products
- Set up a vendor classification system and define supplier capability
- Root cause analysis for returned products and highlight any defect trends
- Reduce waste and non conformance by setting up a 'goods in' quality system
- Monitor customer returns / reviews to highlight problematic areas

The QA Manager

- Experienced QA professional ideally from a tooling / equipment background.
- Proven track record setting up QA systems from scratch.
- Well versed with overseas manufacturing, in particular Far East vendors
- Confident change manager, with a proven track record improving / implementing QA management systems.
- Strong self starter and relish a high level of autonomy
- Happy to work across multi functional teams - this is a get stuck in role!
