Purchasing Manager

Circa £40k DOE | Flexible Hours | Exeter

Following sustained and successful growth, our client seeks a Purchasing Manager to join their team in Exeter.

This role offers flexibility in its hours, covering Monday - Friday 08:30-17:30 37.5 hours per week.

Purchasing Manager Responsibilities include:

• Create stock forecasts based on the latest market information covering global offices
• Maintain positive relationships with the wider supplier base, and ensure lead times match forecasting demands, holding suppliers accountable to schedules and pricing agreements
• Sourcing of new suppliers, with a focus on improved service performance
• Set up SKUs and BOMs on Sage
• Communication with the sales and operations teams to ensure a coherent process, providing performance-based reports for review

Purchasing Manager Requirements include:

• Previous experience in a similar role
• Ideally you will hold qualifications in the following areas - Supply Chain or Procurement Management and/or Business Administration (But not essential)
• Good experience with Sage accounts software or similar
• Confident in pricing negotiations when required
• Competent with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
