Hire Coordinator/AV Purchasing Administrator

Location: Chessington, Surrey

Package: £25,000 + Overtime

Job Type: Full time, permanent

That’s why we’re looking for a Hire Coordinator committed to excellence in the management of the company’s own extensive stock of equipment and that which is sub-hired from third parties. 

The role plays an important part in making sure there is an efficient and effective utilisation of all resources. This successful candidate will work to ensure that both in house equipment and subhired equipment is administered correctly at all stages of its journey. We envisage that the ideal candidate will possess good AV and IT skills and knowledge. The role would suit a graduate at the start of their technical journey within live events. 

Responsibilities

  • You will ensure that all newly purchased equipment added to the inventory system ready for hire to clients. 
  • You will be responsible for administering sub-hired equipment in and out of the business.
  • You will support the Warehouse Manager with the management of rental equipment. 
  • You will coordinate the workflows associated with the efficient management of items in our rental inventory.

What we’re looking for

  • Must have AV technical skills e.g. setting up AV for a band
  • Excellent all round end-user IT skills
  • Good planning skills – being able to prioritise the urgency of tasks.
  • Strong team skills and good interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and suppliers.
  • Naturally pro-active instincts, with a hunger for challenge the way things are done and finding new ways to do things better.
