SF Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Temporary Purchasing Administrator to join one of our growing clients based in Ashbourne.
The successful candidate must be immediately available to start work!

This is a Temporary position for 6 months. Full-Time, Monday to Friday in the office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Update and manage product and supplier information in our inventory system.
  • Handle administrative tasks for the purchasing department.
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding orders, deliveries, and product issues.
  • Build strong supplier relationships and serve as the primary contact for purchasing department inquiries.
  • Generate reports on purchasing metrics - for example supplier/product performance, profit margins, cost savings etc.
  • Create and send Purchase Orders, analysing historical sales data and trends to forecast future sales and maintain required stock levels.
  • Assist in refining purchasing strategies based on data analysis and market research.
  • Check invoices against Purchase Orders to identify any invoice/pricing errors – for example overcharges.
  • Ensure product compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Schedule meetings for the Buying team with supplier representatives.

Candidate Profile

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable with daily interactions with both suppliers and team members.
  • Good at managing multiple tasks with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Good general computer skills, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Exhibits a positive and professional demeanour.
  • Skilled in handling challenges calmly and effectively.
  • Capable of independent work and driving tasks to completion.
  • Quick to analyse information and communicate it clearly.
  • Highly organized, prioritizing tasks efficiently.
  • Team player, adaptable to the dynamic needs of the business.


Salary: £11.50 - £13.00 per hour
