This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level Purchase Ledger Clerk looking to develop their skills within the Business Services industry. Based in Wakefield, the successful candidate will be responsible for handling financial tasks, including maintaining purchase ledgers and processing invoices.

Client Details

Our client is a well-established, large-scale company operating within Wakefield. The company has a robust presence in Wakefield and boasts a strong team focused on delivering excellent services to its clients.

Description

  • Accurately maintaining purchase ledgers
  • Processing and validating supplier invoices
  • Preparing payment runs and resolving any related issues
  • Reconciling supplier statements
  • Assisting with month-end closing
  • Communicating effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Managing petty cash transactions
  • Contributing to continuous improvement within the Accounting & Finance department

Profile

  • Be immediately available to start next week.
  • Be able to get to Wakefield 5 days a week.
  • Proficiency in English and in MS Office
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Understanding of relevant legal regulations
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Offer

£12-£13 an hour plus holiday pay + 3-6 months temporary contract + Potential long-term opportunities + Immediate start+ Wakefield location + Free car parking
