Purchase Ledger Clerk
  • Temporary Role (up to 3 months with potential for permanency)
  • Location: Margate
  • Annual Salary: £25,000 (pro-rata)

We are currently seeking an immediately available Purchase Ledger Clerk for a temporary assignment in Margate. This role has the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing the purchase ledger, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in processing invoices and maintaining up-to-date records.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Processing purchase invoices and reconciling supplier statements.
  • Preparing payment runs and managing payment queries.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions.
  • Liaising with suppliers and resolving any invoice discrepancies.
  • Assisting with month-end closures and reporting.
  • Collaborating with the finance team to improve processes and controls within the purchase ledger function.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a Purchase Ledger Clerk role or similar.
  • Must be immediately available to start work.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in the use of accounting software and MS Excel.
