Purchase Ledger Clerk | Stroud district | Part Time up to £24,000

Hours: Part time can be tailored to suit successful applicant.

Exciting opportunity in the construction industry

Responsibilities for the job role:

  • Entering GRN’s to the ledger against purchase orders
  • Processing invoices against Purchase orders, having competency in checking prices / rates from the invoice to the purchase order
  • Contacting suppliers with invoice queries and following up on these queries
  • Reconciling purchase ledger balances with supplier statements
  • Sending invoices for authorisation and dealing with various departments within the Gloucester’s Group
  • Printing invoices on a daily basis and preparing for posting to the ledger
  • Previous experience in a purchase ledger role
  • Strong IT, numeracy and analytic skills, with great attention to detail
  • The ability to prioritise and work efficiently, with a positive and can-do attitude
  • Ability to build relationships, both with customers and operational managers, using excellent communication skills
  • Enthusiastic and willing to learn and develop
  • Able to work on own and as part of a small team

Personal Profile

  • The successful applicant will have 2 + years of purchase ledger experience. Further qualifications are beneficial but not a necessity.
