Hales Group are seeking a Purchase Ledger Clerk to support our client in Lowestoft on a 6-month FTC.
Key responsibilities:
- Administering and reconciling credit card control accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Monitoring and recording petty cash expenses for all office locations to maintain precise financial records.
- Validating and verifying changes made to supplier bank details for data integrity.
- Participating in the month-end reporting cycle, which includes posting journals, facilitating month-end closure, and generating reports.
- Conducting comprehensive analysis of overhead costs in comparison to the budget or latest forecast.
- Analysing, validating, and reporting on assigned Balance Sheet accounts to ensure financial accuracy.
- Monitoring and evaluating existing processes, identifying areas for improvement, and proposing enhancements.
- Contributing to effective corporate governance, risk management, and internal controls.
- Undertaking additional ad-hoc duties as directed by your line manager.
- Assisting in the process of budget setting and participating in periodic budget reforecasts.
- Maintaining detailed procedure notes to ensure consistency in processes.
- Collaborating with relevant departments and management to provide financial insights that support decision-making.
- Providing coverage for team members during their absences to ensure uninterrupted operations.
To join this team, you will need:
- Capable of building effective and collaborative relationships; skilled in communication and fostering knowledge sharing.
- Maintains meticulous attention to detail, even when working under pressure; consistently delivers accurate and precise outputs.
- Demonstrates intermediate-level proficiency in using Microsoft Excel
- Qualified AAT or studying AAT. ( Desirable)
HOURS: 25 hours per week / 5 days per week
DURATION: 6-month FTC
LOCATION: Lowestoft
PAY RATE: £26k to 27.5k (circa 0.6 FTE)
