Public Relations Manager - 12 month contract

Charity requires an experienced PR Manager for a 12 month maternity cover contract -3 days a week on site in Yorkshire. Able to evise a calendar of media stories across campaigns, fundraising, research, case studies and gain regional coverage across broadcast and traditional media.

Will also respond to journalist requests and produce content for web, social and partner projects.

Content is often highly technical so able to understand the details and package up for a wider more generalist audience.

Specifically:

• Develop strong relationships across business and its partner organisations to create network of communications sharing
• Write content that is tailored for different audiences and channels either from scratch or repurpose
• Develop relationships with specific Yorkshire media - print, broadcast and online
• Devise content with strong news hooks as well as respond quickly to media events and requests

Must be a strong writer, able to turn head to different activities and tailor for your audiences to ensure resonates.

Must have previous media relations and communications experience and strong stakeholder management skills. Ideally gained in charity, not for profit sector.

Hybrid working is 3 days a week in the office in Harrogate.
