Seven Resourcing are currently seeking an Public Health Support Officer to work in the Substance Misuse team within Sunderland. This is a full time position, and we are paying £22.19 per hour for this role. 

The role:

To provide day to day project support and management for planning and delivery of identified workstreams within the public health team.

Key Responsibilities:

      Work flexibly with other members of the public health team to identify, prioritise and deliver projects and/or work areas, utilising appropriate methods and techniques to ensure that objectives are delivered effectively and on time.

Support project delivery by developing appropriate plans, timelines and reports to enable their progress to be monitored.

Plan and deliver ongoing work areas using processes, such as project meetings, workshops, action planning and highlight reporting.

Maintain regular communications with other team members to help ensure that progress of work areas is fully understood and appropriate actions can be taken.

Develop and present reports and other information to other members of the team and other stakeholders as required. 

To work with other stakeholders within the council to help ensure that objectives are met, for example members of the communications, finance, procurement or legal teams.

Applicant Requirements:

  • Qualifications: GCSEs A-C or equivalent including at least English and Maths. Educated to A Level standard or equivalent experience
  • Experience: 2+ years working within a similar role. 
  • Compliance: Current Standard DBS check. 
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 37 hours p/w.
