Public Health Design Engineer

This is the exciting opportunity for an experienced Public Health Design Engineer to join an award-winning multidisciplined firm in their offices in St Albans. The successful candidate will report straight to the Director and work on various project across the leisure, residential, and commercial sectors.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Produce domestic water design and demand calculations in line with BS and loP standards
  • Work on domestic water and drainage pump capacity sizing, as well as fire sprinkler and above ground foul and rainwater design
  • Produce design and specifications for renewable technologies, whilst also carrying out site inspections.
  • Produce high quality concept designs from RIBA Stage 2 and carry them out till completion for RIBA Stage 5.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Relevant degree within a mechanical or building services engineering filed
  • Strong experience as a Public Health designer at a consulting engineering firm
  • Experience with Software's such as Revit, as well as Fire hydrant design and Dry and wet risers.
  • Good knowledge of building regulations such as Part G and L, as well as British Standards.
  • Has a full UK driving license and lives within a commutable distance of their St Albans offices
