Psych Grad - Youth Worker

A lovely specialist school in Headington are on the hunt for a Youth Worker to join their team starting as soon as possible.

A little more about the role:

The school:

  • Looks after students who struggle with learning difficulties and mental health needs
  • Students are between the ages of 4 and 19
  • Amazing children!
  • Small classes
  • Large focus on Mental health
  • Encourages teaching children life skills to help them be as independent a possible

The opportunity:

  • Supporting the students with their needs alongside helping them manage their diagnosis
  • Ensuring the classroom is a fun and engaging environment
  • Helping the children manage and process their emotions
  • Facilitating any interventions
  • Supporting the class teacher

What you need to succeed as a Youth Worker:

  • A positive attitude
  • Be enthusiastic, kind and compassionate
  • Interest in mental health and helping children live their best life
  • The ability to take initiative well
