SEN Teaching Assistant - Stoke on Trent - PRU Setting

Hays are recruiting on behalf of a reputable organisation to recruit Teaching Assistants to work in a PRU school setting to support young people with complex behaviours, ADHD and ASD. To work with the school to provide a strong environment in which to support the students educations effectively.
Your new role

• Support Students with complex behaviours within a PRU setting
• Physical Restraint training
• 1:1 or group work with students who require additional support
• Assisting the teacher with classroom preparation
• Leading group work
• Helping the class teacher with pupil observations

What you'll need to succeed

• Ability to diffuse challenging situations.
• Resilient and able to deal with challenging bahaviours
• A full UK Drivers licence required.
• Able to work full time Mon-Fri 09.00 - 16.00
• excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with both students and colleagues.
• Resilience, patience and empathy when dealing with students facing challenging circumstances.
