I am currently looking for a Property Paralegal to join this growing Property team based in central Leeds. Working for this well-established, reputable firm of Solicitors, you will provide high quality practical support to fee earners within the property department. The successful applicant will have an understanding of transactional property matters, an interest in building a career in property law along with a methodical and practical approach to work.

Duties will include:

Dealing with Land Registry and SDLT submissions

Carrying out searches and reporting on them to fee earners

Obtaining quotations for indemnity policies and putting cover in place

Keeping up to date with a spreadsheet of outstanding Land Registry applications and operating a diary system for chases and management of such applications

Carrying out ancillary tasks such as arranging statutory declarations

Assisting the residential team with preparing completions and post completion admin

Ensuring files are managed in compliance with Lexcel (and CQS where relevant) procedures

Reviewing files regularly to maintain a high standard of client care

Keeping abreast of changes in legislation, property procedures and other regulatory aspects by attending training provided

Experience:

Experience in a similar role would be an advantage

A high level of understanding of transactional property matters

Ability to communicate with people at all levels

A responsible attitude

A methodical and pro-active approach to working
