Property Manager - Reading (Hybrid)

Basic: £32,000 - £35,000

? The Lettings Property Management Team offers assistance to the many tenants and landlords throughout Berkshire and Surrey. Working together as a team in an extremely enthusiastic, fast paced and demanding environment, where no two days are ever the same.

? Your role would be to balance the many different demands to ensure that tenants and landlords receive an excellent service at all times. Additionally, you will ensure that all the necessary documents have been received, recorded and are kept up-to-date.

The Property Management Role:

  • Meeting Landlords and Tenants to sign contracts
  • Arranging safety checks and collecting completion funds
  • Dealing with maintenance issues, arranging contractors, arranging access and paying Invoices
  • Renewing existing contract, negotiating rent increases, creating Tenancy Agreements
  • Deposit returns, negotiating between Landlord and Tenant to resolve any damage.
  • Administrative duties, updating excel spread sheets, etc

Skills required:

  • Strong communicator, both verbally and written
  • Personal experience of buying/selling/letting OR renting
  • Well organised

  • Someone who has had previous experience working under pressure
  • Flexibility to go to the extra mile when business demands
  • Computer literate

Responsibilities

  • Dealing with tenants references
  • Preparing tenancy agreements and associated paperwork
  • Answering the telephone
  • Dealing with customers face to face
  • Responding to general enquiries by phone and e-mail
  • Handling landlord and tenant queries.
  • Processing tenancy applications
  • Handling maintenance queries and dealing with contractors
  • Preparing property folders for new tenancies
  • Registering deposits

The Ideal Candidate

  • Property management experience and experience of dealing with the general public
  • An analytical person who can communicate well with landlords and tenants
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all levels
  • Ability to work closely with a team to ensure that you provide excellent customer service
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Quick learner who thrives on attention to detail
  • Driven with a real desire to succeed, ability to demonstrate initiative and self-motivation
  • Excellent problem solving abilities
  • Genuine interest in property and people
  • UK driving license & own car
  • The role will involve some out of office appointments inspecting the condition of managed properties, checking in new tenants, and checking out old tenants so the successful applicant
  • Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team
