Property Investment Manager
Background
Our client is the private investment vehicle of a family office, with a focus on
real estate, asset management and financial technology.
Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):
• Working closely with Directors and Principals to lead the assessment of
potential investments, land acquisitions, developments or asset management
initiatives.
• Performing complex and dynamic financial modelling and analysis for
investment, development and asset management opportunities.
• Conducting research on selected property sectors and geographies, delivering
quantitative and qualitative analysis.
• Assisting in the preparation of business plans and investment memorandums
for new acquisitions.
• Assisting in drafting reports to the company’s Board, Investors, Lenders and
JV Partners
• Attending due diligence meetings with management and external advisors.
• Performing internal asset management reporting tasks including updating
business plans, working closely with property managers/asset
managers/operating partners, helping to execute existing business plans and
monitor budgets.
• Monitoring portfolio performance, assisting in operational and strategic
reviews. Highlighting recommended investments, divestments, asset
management initiatives, capex and diversification opportunities.
• Leading on origination of value-add commercial opportunities and maintaining
a strong network of contacts.
• Ensuring efficient and accurate tracking of deal pipeline and strive for best
practice and improvements in way of working.
• Helping to manage debt sourcing for assets (if required), be involved in debt
due diligence and negotiations.
• Ensuring internal systems are kept up to date on an ongoing basis to support
underwriting activities and broaden market knowledge.
• This role will be split between acquisitions, asset management and operations
so the successful candidate will need to demonstrate an ability to multitask.
About You
• 3-5 years’ relevant experience as an Analyst (real estate, investment banking,
investment management, corporate finance, valuation).
• RICS not mandatory but preferred.
• Strong financial modelling skills - must be able to create bespoke and dynamic
financial models from scratch, as well as ad hoc interpretation of existing
financial models.
• Strong numerical background with excellent analytical thinking.
• Strong problem-solving ability.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills - both written and oral.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple
workstreams/projects simultaneously - a self-starter with strong
communication skills.
• The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently and
within a small, entrepreneurial team.
• A genuine interest and passion for Real Estate and the desire to progress and
grow within the company.
