Exciting Opportunity for a Project Proposals Engineer in the Fire Protection Proposal Department!

Starting Point Recruitment is thrilled to be recruiting for a Project Proposal Engineer to present a permanent position within West Midlands for our esteemed client.

Salary: Attractive salary, dependent on experience Working Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday 9am-5pm

Job purpose – SPR are looking for a key player to fit into the fire protection proposals department, the right candidate will analyse blueprints, specifications and put together estimated costs to ensure our sprinkler, wet & dry riser systems meet the correct code of practice and fulfil the clients’ requirements.

Essential Skills
• Understanding of Sprinkler related standards BS EN12845, BS9251, BS5306 & BS9990
• Previous experience in fire sprinkler protection.
• Excellent customer service skills, with a friendly approach
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Willingness to learn and develop.
• A can-do hands-on attitude

Your Duties Will Include:
• Reading project specific consultant specification.
• Reading and reviewing project specific drawings.
• Applying sprinkler, knowledge to project information to formulate cost.
• Contacting suppliers to obtain project specific costs.
• Writing sprinkler proposals and issuing to client teams.
• Liaising with clients / Attending meetings.
• Dialogue with project teams.
• Internal handover meetings upon project award.
