Project Planner

Cedar have been instructed on a Project Planner position for a global manufacturing business based near Munster, Germany - so German speakers are required. This is a permanent role reporting into the Senior Project Planner and System Project Manager.

The purpose of the role is the production of project schedules in line with the company's standards and procedures.

The role has multiple stakeholders, internal and external customers, as it is interfacing directly with the group so there will be some travel involved to project sites.

The duties/responsibilities are: -

• Work on a variety of projects or one major project.
• Work remotely from line management and is expected to be able to operate with autonomy whilst providing services to several customers.
• Actively promote a pro-active safety culture throughout the project life cycle and across the Group
• Facilitate and run interactive planning sessions for the development of project schedules
• Planning of project activities, including schedule development
• Create initial project baseline schedules and provide planning expertise to project teams
• Ensuring project schedules in Primavera and / or Microsoft Project that reflect all interface milestones and activity duration from multiple contractors
• Development planning activities ensuring flawless integration of all project requirements, deliverable and resources required throughout the project life cycle

The ideal candidate will have relevant language skills (business German) have over 4 years project planning experience. The ideal candidate would also have a PMI Scheduling Professional (SP) qualification or equivalent, have a Professional membership PMI, AACE or equivalent, be an expert user of Primavera planning package and conversant with Microsoft Project and experience of using PRA, @Risk or equivalent.
