Blair West is supporting our client, who is leading the way in producing low-cost and lightweight solar PV by using microgroove solar technology. This technology is now patented in over 70 countries. With the impending development of a larger manufacturing site and growth of the business, the business recognises an experienced Project Manager as a value add to their business.

The opportunity:

  • To develop the project management framework to ensure current and future projects within the business are delivered in line with good practice.
  • Support rapid progress towards manufacturing scale-up requirements through collaborative working.
  • Develop project plans in sufficient detail to ensure integration of all activities, identification of cross-functional dependencies, and understanding of critical paths.
  • Foster collaborative work with all stakeholders to define and achieve a good understanding of the project.
  • Ensuring thorough risk and issue management across the projects, instigating mitigation actions, identifying contingency plans and managing items through to conclusion.
  • Timely briefings and reporting to all internal stakeholders on progress and achievements.

You’ll be the ideal candidate for this role if you have:

  • A first-degree level qualification - Mechanical/Chemical/Semiconductor background preferred.
  • A demonstratable track record of delivering successful projects.
  • The ability to tackle issues and problems logically and step-by-step.
  • Strong communication skills and is an active listener.
  • The ability to coordinate colleagues, volunteers and contracted parties through expert leadership.
  • The willingness to challenge assumptions and the ability to adapt or generate imaginative and innovative ideas.
