Working as a project Finance Business Partner for a 6 months contract paying up to £600 per day inside IR335 based in Milton Keynes must be able to start asap.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the day to day finances - corporate and directorate level, framework of financial governance, controls and delegations and for the processing and management of day-to-day transactions, including the prompt payment of invoices.
  • Provide guidance on corporate Governance. Acting as the Chief Financial Officer's (CFO) representative at monthly review meetings
  • Provide assurance that reported expenditure and contract payments are appropriate. IFRS Accounting / National Audit Office (NAO)
  • Provides guidance on appropriate IFRS accounting treatment of transactions (prepayment / accruals/ liabilities)
  • Provides justification and supporting evidence of accounting adjustments to NAO Auditors as required. Financial Reporting/ Month/ Year end
  • Oversee the month end financial accounts close and prepare the accounts and plan for year-end audit

Skills

  • Must be CCAB qualified accountant and have background working in a large matrix project team with project managers, commercial managers and planning and cost managers.
  • Must have knowledge of SAP / Oracle accounting systems or other similar ERP systems in monthly analytics of contract spend and accruals held and challenge budget holders to provide budget variance commentary
  • Facilitate system changes required and reporting requirements for budget management.
  • Provide Workforce Actual costs and forecast information to inform programme cost estimates
  • Ability to interpret project information and determine appropriate IFRS accounting
  • Experience in providing financial information to inform project decisions, recognising consequence against cost, schedule and quality
  • Experience in business planning, forecasting experience within a project environment.
