Project Engineer

GMP Recruitment are proud to be partnered with a globally successful and highly recognisable manufacturer located in Droitwich. We are recruiting on their behalf for a Project Engineer to join their team on a full time, permanent contract.

This is a full time, permanent position working Monday - Friday 08:00am - 17:00pm offering a salary of £35K, negotiable pending relevant experience.

We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to join a dynamic team within a highly successful and fast-growing business. The ideal candidate will have experience in CAD and CAM, with proficiency in CNC programming. This role involves liaising with toolmakers, managing processes, tools, and trials, and overseeing operations related to moulding, trim, and assembly.

Previous experience with plastic components is highly desirable.

Project Engineer main duties:

• Utilize CAD and CAM software to design and develop engineering solutions.
• Proficiently program CNC machines to ensure precision and efficiency in manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with toolmakers to optimize tooling designs and functionality.
• Manage and oversee processes, tools, and trials to ensure quality standards and project timelines are met.
• Provide technical expertise and support for moulding, trim, and assembly operations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any engineering or production issues as they arise.

Project Engineer desired skills and experience:

• Proven experience working with CAD and CAM software.
• Proficiency in CNC programming.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Experience in moulding, trim, and assembly processes is preferred.
