Akton are recruiting on behalf of a client who is looking for a Principal Structural Engineer at a senior level to technically manage the staff, oversea the delivery of commissions and significantly contribute to the growth of the London office. This is a key appointment and with substantial opportunity for personal and career development. This position would suit someone with a background in the Consultancy sector.

Experience

Essential

  • Commercial awareness of costing, budgets and quotations
  • Report writing
  • Site visits to verify construction complies with construction drawings
  • Proficient use of AutoCAD, Masterseries and TEDDS design software
  • Producing detailed structural calculations and sketches
  • Preparation of construction drawings and specifications

Desirable

  • Understanding of STAAD.Pro, SCIA and Revit
  • Project Management and leadership skills
