On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Project Coordinator for a ?6-month long day rate contract based in Glasgow (hybrid).

As a Project Coordinator, you will:

  • Support the delivery of assigned project tasks or small projects within the portfolio, ensuring adherence to group and local standards, following the best practice approach
  • Interact with all key contributors to secure required resource
  • Ensure all internal approvals have been obtained
  • Support project managers to define projects scope, objectives, and deliverables for approval by all internal and external stakeholders
  • Support the setup and implementation of project governance, according to its size and complexity
  • Manage working group activities and support facilitation of steering group meetings (under leadership of project managers)
  • Support projects and project managers with joint clients meetings, develop and maintain productive working relationships and manage the communication with stakeholders
  • Assist the project manager in developing a project plan and tracking activities against the plans, providing regular and accurate reports to stakeholders as appropriate
  • Assist project managers in the facilitation of workshops with SMEs as required and define solutions and gap analysis
  • Assist project managers in the identification and tracking of project risks, actions, issues and dependencies
  • Assist project managers in the project change control process to ensure project deliverables are realised within planned cost, timescale, and resource budgets
  • Coordinate (under the direction of project managers) all required client implementation testing
  • Assist project managers in the coordination of all resources to structure full and complete end-to-end testing
  • Prepare and agree with stakeholders all entry and exit criteria for testing phases
  • Coordinate test phase planning (tasks, durations, resource, dependencies) and effective tracking with each contributor

What we're looking for:

  • Previous experience of working on projects in a similar capacity (Project Coordinator / Project Support / PMO Analyst etc.) and basic understanding of project management principles
  • Previous experience of working in a financial services industry
  • Ability to use initiative to accurately assess new situations and potential solutions that have no precedent
  • Cultural awareness and able to see things from others point of view
  • Strong integrity to deal with conflicting interest from multiple stakeholders
  • Prioritisation skills - the ability to assess multiple scenarios and present pros and cons of each and propose most appropriate course of action
  • Ability to plan and organise workload, taking into account relative and conflicting priorities, seeking win/win solutions where possible and mitigating negative impacts where not
  • Ability to work consistently and accurately under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the company and with clients
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and a demonstrable track record of successfully interacting, influencing, and communicating at all levels with due regard to the nature of the intended audience
  • Excellent attention to detail with high levels of accuracy
  • Tenacious and proactive approach
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as a part of a team
