An opportunity to join the procurement team of this highly successful and profitable construction organisation. This high-profile role will take ownership of all construction-related procurement activity ensuring this area is managed efficiently and cost-effectively. Key areas of focus pertain to: negotiating pricing and contractual terms with suppliers; identify and assess supplier competence and drive performance levels; identify cost-effective solutions across all sourcing activities; identify risks and develop strategies to mitigate; work closely with the Head of Procurement in developing and embedding the procurement strategy; and developing positive stakeholder relationships across the organisation.

To succeed in this role, you will have demonstrable procurement experience from a main contractor in the construction industry. You will have a strong contractual awareness, have demonstrable experience of managing construction related budgets and key performance metrics. With excellent communication and influencing skills, you will be commercially aware and have strong negotiation skills. With base location to suit candidate preference in either Cambridgeshire, this role is available on a hybrid basis of 2 days per week in the office with excellent career development prospects.
