Project Accountant

Robert Walters are currently partnering with a global organisation based in Portsmouth, Hampshire to assist in recruiting for a Project Accountant to join them on a permanent basis.

With a focus on the review or cost and performance of various projects, the successful individual will provide sound financial support and advice to stakeholders both internally and externally to the projects, ultimately, ensuring robust, relevant and adequate financial controls are in place.

With prior Project Accounting experience being highly desireable, you will provide consistent project reporting information to the team as well as having a problem solving mentality, ensuring at times, complex issues in the project are resolved in a timely manner.

Other key responsibilities for this Project Accountant role include:

- Deliver value adding, robust financial service to the team

- Monitor financial performance and challenging where necessary

- Initiate continual review and improvements of processes and procedures to ensure financial control requirements of the business are met

- Take responsibility for decisions which will have significant impact of project performance

- Tutelage of non finance employees on finance matters related to various projects

We would love to speak to candidates who can demonstrate the following skillset and experience:

- Qualified Accountant OR an individual with a strong track record working in Project Accounting

- Knowledge of contracting requirements

- Strong analytical and problem solving skills

- Proactive in seeking continuous improvement and can business partner with a wide range of stakeholders

This is a brilliant Project Accountant role with a diverse and ever evolving business. Our client are offering a salary range of £40,000 - £52,000 depending on experience as well as a comprehensive benefits package including a bonus, healthcare, enhanced pension and hybrid working.
