Programme Officer Principal Audit and Assurance Officer
My client is the devolved regional governance body of Greater London who seek an experienced Programme Officer to start an ongoing temp booking asap.
The successful candidate will be a member of the Audit and Assurance function within the Portfolio Management Office (PMO), who will have responsibility for the internal assurance and audit programme, management of the audit programme for adult education service providers, management of the investigations and allegations process, contract management of external audit firms, leadership of any other assurance requirement on the unit’s programme (e.g. data governance), and delivery of a full-range of high-level records management and data governance service and support to the Skills and Employment Unit.
Person specification
Technical requirements/experience/qualifications
- Relevant qualification (e.g. Degree, ISO 9001 etc.) or equivalent experience
- Demonstrable experience in assurance and quality management in complex programme and project environments
- Demonstrable understanding of the rules and regulations that govern the delivery of mainstream national and/or local skills and employment delivery programmes, and associated reporting and political drivers
- Thorough knowledge of project management, project control techniques or contract management / procurement
- Demonstrable understanding of data governance tools and frameworks
- Track record of developing, leading and managing teams, including tackling poor performance, developing talent, and being accountable for the team’s performance
- Excellent report writing skills with ability to present papers at board level
Immediate start
Ongoing temp booking
£32.08 PAYE / £42.04 LTD UMB per hour
- 2 days per week in the office.
- Candidate can decide which days per week.
- Monthly in person meetings so would need to schedule days around that.
