Job Title: Programme Manager

Location: Crewe, 2-3 Days per week Onsite

Remuneration: Daily Rate From £600 to £700 per day

Contract Details: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Are you passionate about programme management and driving strategic results in the automotive industry? We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Programme Manager to join our client's dynamic organisation.

Responsibilities:

  • Take the lead in defining, setting up, executing, and delivering programmes and complex projects to achieve the desired business outcomes, aligned with our Delivery Framework and company processes.
  • Engage stakeholders effectively, collaborating closely with individuals up to board level, ensuring conflict resolution, efficient change management, and successful delivery.
  • Implement robust monitoring and controls, managing dependencies and intricacies arising from cross-functional and interdepartmental complexities.
  • Serve as the point person for managing change delivery resources, both internal and external, in a matrix environment.
  • Plan and set up programmes using appropriate governance and delivery methodologies, ensuring alignment with the IT Delivery Framework.
  • Define programme scope and goals, align and obtain agreement from stakeholders on resulting workstreams/projects.
  • Generate and maintain accurate Programme/Project plans, identifying internal and external project dependencies and developing inclusive work breakdown structures (WBS) and stories.
  • Manage programme risks and issues, ensuring ownership, actioning, and escalation as required.
  • Oversee changes that significantly alter project scope or plan, with appropriate governance in place.
  • Validate technical solution designs to ensure they meet business needs.
  • Drive business readiness and change management, defining, planning, agreeing, and activating necessary actions.
  • Develop and maintain effective programme communications throughout the project lifecycle, including stakeholder analysis and communication plans.
  • Contribute leadership skills and collaborate across functions to deliver complex change projects/programmes and resolve conflicts.
  • Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to understand and interpret complex business issues and processes.

Skills/Experience:

  • Proven track record of successfully delivering enterprise-wide projects and programme management, driving strategic results in a professional setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of Programme Management principles.
  • Experience working with ambiguous deliverables and breaking them down into structured delivery tranches.
  • Advanced influencing, negotiation, and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Demonstrable leadership skills.
  • Ability to plan, organise, and prioritise workload across multiple projects/workstreams with different stakeholders and resources.
  • Experienced and confident in report writing techniques and delivering presentations to senior managers.
  • Logical, analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent analytical and numeracy skills, coupled with innovative and creative thinking.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Practical and Technical Knowledge:

  • Proficiency in core project management techniques and methods, including WBS, CPM, Gantt chart creation, PERT, Risk and Issue Management, stakeholder analysis, SWOT analysis, and cost/benefit analysis.
  • Experience with waterfall project delivery methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2) and associated tools.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies (e.g., Agile, SCRUM) and associated tools like Jira and Confluence.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or Diploma in Computing/Business Administration or a related subject, or equivalent.
  • Advanced Project & Programme Management accreditation, such as Prince2 and/or Agile/SAFe.
