In this Assistant Programme Finance Officer role, you will:

  • Be the driving force in the production of donor reports for corporate foundations and government grants, ensuring to liaise with Programme Managers to ensure accurate and timely submissions.
  • Work across a broad portfolio spanning Eastern Africa and Afghanistan, you'll be the first port-of-call between fundraising and grant managers, project accountants, and programme teams.
  • Collaborate closely with the fundraising team and programme stakeholders to develop proposal budgets, informing them on staffing allocations, project timelines, and resource needs, ensuring they’re in alignment with donor requirements and organisational goals.
  • Maintain a keen eye for detail to ensure that budgets are adhered to, variances are monitored, and any scope changes are effectively managed and reported against.

The successful candidate will:

  • Recently have finished a degree or equivalent qualification in Accounting and Finance with some hands-on experience producing accounts and financial analysis.
  • Be looking for a role where you will undertake the production of financial reports, and have the ability to comprehend the wider financial landscape of an organisation.
  • Have excellent communications skills, a keen eye for detail and be a fast-learner.
