Strategic Transport Programme Manager

Client: Local Authority in South London

Job Title: Project Management Consultant

Pay Rate: £450 per day UMBRELLA (Inside IR35)

Hours: 36 Hours a week (Mon-Fri) Hybrid, mix of office and home.

Duration 6 Month Contract (possible extension)

PURPOSE OF ROLE:

Committed to moving forward a number of transport projects which will deliver benefits in a range of areas:
* Croydon town centre regeneration.
* Growth sites across the borough as identified in the local plan.
* Investment in strategic transport projects such as Brighton Main Line, Croydon Area Remodelling Scheme and Trams for Growth.

This role will take a lead developing a programme of strategic transport projects. It will involve close working with a range of internal and external stakeholders to agree priorities and establish potential funding mechanisms and delivery timescales.

Key experience, knowledge and skills:
* Demonstrable experience of developing and delivering strategic projects.
* Knowledge of transport policy and funding.
* Well developed engagement and influencing skills.
* Experience of working in the public sector, ideally including in London.
* Degree level qualification or equivalent relevant experience.
