Program Manager

Location: Swavesey

Hours: 37.5 hours a week Monday to Friday on site

Salary: up to £90k

Start Date: ASAP

Are you a proactive problem-solver with exceptional leadership and project management skills? We are seeking a Program Manager for our client to identify and resolve major issues hindering the company's growth. In this role, you will lead the implementation of effective countermeasures and provide training to key employees on project management and problem-solving techniques working closely with the CEO.

Responsibilities:

  • Problem Identification and Resolution:

    • Identify major issues affecting company growth and analyze root causes using methods like 5why.
    • Develop and implement effective countermeasures with a focus on leadership and project management.
    • Manage multiple projects simultaneously with excellent program management skills.
  • Engineering:

    • Collaborate with the engineering team to identify and address quality and efficiency issues.
    • Reduce design-induced non-conformance and concessions.
    • Improve the efficiency of change management processes.
    • Enhance the accuracy of Bills of Materials (BOMs).
    • Take charge of product development and maintenance in the absence of the engineering manager.
  • Operations:

    • Evaluate operational effectiveness and efficiency, devising improvement plans for the operations department.
    • Implement systems for sales-dependent production planning and inventory management.
    • Develop production capacity plans based on sales forecasts.
    • Execute strategies to improve gross margins.
    • Oversee daily operations in the absence of the operations department manager.

    Requirements:

    • Proven experience in leadership and project management roles.
    • Background in Engineering and a degree in a relevant discipline - electronic engineering etc
    • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to implement effective solutions.
    • Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to lead change from the front and work closely with the CEO
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
