A successful, fast-growing manufacturing business is seeking to expand their team and as such as looking for a Production Technician to join their growing team within the Portsmouth area. This business has been experiencing a stable period of expansion and success in recent years and have grown their customer reach to a global level, and cover various industries such as aerospace, automotive, telecommunications, medical and consumer electronics. This position holder will support the business-as-usual manufacturing operations and work as part of a comprehensive team that ensures the business can meet its requirements and honour the customers that they have with quality results.

Your Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Working with the team and the Senior Assembly Supervisor to meet production targets and support business requirements.
  • Ensuring that all completed and ongoing work is meeting appropriate standards, including EN9100.
  • Supporting the moulding manufacturing operations by conducting key tasks to meet requirements.
  • Ensuring that PPE is always fit for purpose and is being used correctly, whilst reporting concerns appropriately.
  • Making sure that all work areas are kept tidy and to regulations, minimising the risk of hazards and reporting ones that occur as necessary.
  • Any additional duties as set out by the supervisor.
What you will need to Apply:

The ideal candidate for this role will be experienced in working within a similar relevant role, within the manufacturing sector, in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should have extensive knowledge of health and safety initiatives. Excellent communication skills are required, both in verbal and written forms. Additionally, any applicants will need a high level of attention to detail in their work, ensuring that minimal levels of issues occur. Strong time management skills would be very valuable.
