Production Supervisor

Jobstore are currently recruiting for a Production Supervisor to join a leading Bury based manufacturing business.

We are seeking an applicant who is looking for a long term career and who can demonstrate a strong background in manufacturing coupled with great supervisory experience.

You will be required to;
- Oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the production department
- Ensure that production targets are met within the specified time frame
- Monitor and maintain quality control standards throughout the production process
- Train and supervise production staff to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures

- Manage staff performance and appraisals
- Collaborate with other departments to optimise production efficiency and resolve any issues that may arise
- Implement and enforce health and safety policy
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery to ensure proper functioning
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement necessary changes

The right candidate will come with the following previous experience;
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor repairs
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively manage a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Flexibility to work shifts as needed, including weekends and holidays

You will be responsible for leading a team of production operators on a rotating 6.00 am-2.00 pm, 2.00pm - midnight basis and must be able to work overtime if required.
