Our client, a manufacturer near Wakefield, is looking to appoint a Production Supervisor to work in their busy production factories. Working with a medium sized team of operators the successful Production Supervisor will be very hands on (it will often be necessary to "muck in" and lead from the front on the production line) and have previous experience of shift work (this role is rotating weeks of 6-2 and 2-10). This role would also suit someone who has worked as a Shift Supervisor or Production Team Leader.

You need to be hardworking, experienced with shift work and a factory environment and have good communication skills to lead a team. Responsible for meeting daily KPI's and production targets the successful Production Supervisor / Foreman needs to have worked in a time sensitive, lean focused, FMCG environment (food, plastic, glass, electronics etc)

Although the majority of staff are permanent at peak times your team may be strengthened with the addition of contract / agency staff. It would be beneficial if the Production Supervisor for this role had previous experience of managing temporary staff with the issues this can bring up. You will be a hardworking and have a "lead from the front" approach to the shift you are managing.

Previous work experience in a lean manufacturing environment would be advantageous, as would knowledge of continuous improvement. Applications are particularly encouraged by candidates from an FMCG background with a skilled or semi-skilled workforce: food, plastic, glass, electronics etc

Production Supervisor, Shift Supervisor, Production Team Leader, Lean, Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma, Plastic, Electronics, Glass, Food
