Production Shift Manager

Elevation Recruitment Groups Engineering & Manufacturing division are recruiting for an experienced and energetic Production Shift Manager to join a thriving fast moving manufacturing facility in South Yorkshire.

The Production Shift Manager will work rotational shifts Monday to Friday (Mornings, Afternoons & Nights on rotation).

The Production Shift Manager will be the go-to for all departments and act as support for the people management function, whilst extracting results and analysing data with a strong emphasis on OEE. The Production Shift Manager will liaise with all value streams within Production, Maintenance Engineers, Quality, Health & Safety and Dispatch, and manage a team of circa 15 skilled operatives within Production.

Responsibilities of the Production Shift Manager will include:

• Communicating and compiling accurate detailed shift reports and handovers from the morning, afternoon & night shifts
• Monitor performance to metrics, manage resources and priorities to achieve targets
• Drive forward and promote a continuous improvement and safety first culture
• Supporting production operations in a fast paced manufacturing environment
• Monitoring the process, OEE, and target achievement whilst driving activity and performance
• Identifying and managing change whilst effectively engaging with the team

We are looking for experienced Production Shift Managers with the below skills and experience: 

• Analysing data and results with an emphasis on OEE (essential)
• Previous team leader/management/supervisory experience within a fast paced manufacturing environment with a focus on TPM and OEE
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• KPI and target driven
• A safety-first approach with a strong grasp of quality
• IOSH qualified who is prepared to work towards completing the NEBOSH qualification
