Production Technician
Job Overview:
As a Production Technician, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing process, responsible for the fabrication and assembly of sheet metal components according to engineering specifications. Your primary duties will include utilizing various tools and equipment to produce high-quality parts and learning spot welding techniques to contribute to our production operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude towards learning and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manufacture and assemble sheet metal components based on engineering drawings and instructions.
- Utilize hand and power tools, such as drills, grinders, and saws, to cut, shape, and finish metal parts.
- Learn and apply spot welding techniques to join metal components as required.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications throughout the production process.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and regulations at all times.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to production equipment and processes.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience working in a physical manufacturing environment, preferably in sheet metal fabrication or related industries.
- Ability to lift heavy loads weighing up to 25kg safely and consistently.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Positive attitude, team player mentality, and willingness to learn new skills and techniques.
- Basic understanding of welding principles and techniques is advantageous but not required.
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification is preferred.
Normal working hours, 08.00 to 16.30 Monday to Thursday, 08.00 to 13.00 Friday
