Production Operative

Do you have experience in a manufacturing, factory or construction role?

Our client, a leading aerospace engineering firm based in Sittingbourne, are looking to recruit Production Operatives to work in their Foundry to assist in the sand-casting process. Full training will be given so you do not need to have worked in this field before.

Main Duties

• Aluminium melt preparation
• Cleaning and preparing moulds for casting
• Pouring molten metal into the moulds (casting)
• Moving moulds following casting
• Removing the ceramic shell from the finished cast
• Cleaning the casts (Fettling)
• Reporting any issues with production machinery to team leaders

Requirements

• A Manufacturing/Factory/Production/Construction background.
• A good level of physical coordination
• Ability to use hand tools and operate machinery under instruction
• A good work ethic and time keeping skills.
• You must be physically fit as the role entails a high degree of manual handling and long periods of standing.

Shifts Available - 38 Hours per week

• Monday to Thursday 7.30am-4pm
• Friday 7.30am-1.30pm
