Salary Range: £25,000 – £30,000 dependent on experience.

Location: Oldham,

Hours: Monday – Thursday 0700am – 1600hrs or 0800am -1700hrs. Friday 0700am – 11.00am or 0800am – 1200pm

We are excited to be partnering with an organisation who are specialists in the Electronic Engineering field. Our client is seeking a production operation with strong through-hole soldering experience to join their ever growing and rapidly expanding business.

The Production Operative will work within a production team to assemble, test, rework, and overhaul basic and complex Safety Critical Electronic/Electrical Equipment used in various industries. The role involves adhering to the company's policies, procedures, and customer specifications.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, test, rework, overhaul, and inspect Electrical/Electronic equipment to IPC610 standard.
  • Perform cable assembly to IPC620 standard.
  • Ensure timely completion of work in accordance with customers’ requirements.
  • Maintain flexibility to work in other departments as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and suppliers as necessary.
  • Provide training and mentoring to other team members, including trainees and apprentices.


Required Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in Electrical & Electronic Assembly & Rework.
  • Familiarity with standards such as ISO9001, IPC610/620 & 7711/21.
  • Proficiency in soldering/desoldering techniques.
  • Competence in wiring tasks.
  • Ability to perform self-inspection of work.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Additionally, candidates must demonstrate proficiency and experience in through-hole soldering techniques,
