As the Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day production operations within the factory. Your key responsibilities will include supervising and coordinating production activities, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards, optimising efficiency, and leading a team of production staff to achieve production targets. You will report directly to the Manufacturing Manager and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate production activities to meet daily, weekly, and monthly production plans and targets.
  • Ensure production processes are executed efficiently while maintaining high standards of product quality and safety.
  • Collaborate with the Planning Department to develop and implement production schedules and workflow processes to optimise efficiency.
  • Monitor production metrics and KPIs to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Work closely with the engineering department to schedule and complete Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) tasks.
  • Lead and motivate production staff to foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide guidance and support to production supervisors and frontline staff, including training and performance feedback.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues and implement process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards for food safety and hygiene.
  • Implement and enforce best practises for equipment maintenance, hygiene, and safety protocols.
  • Manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods to support production needs.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the production department to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
  • Prepare regular reports on production performance for management review.
