Production Manager (Meat Industry)
An exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and rapidly expanding organization based near Gatwick, to take the lead as their Production Manager to oversee the production process and coordinate all activities to ensure there are enough resources on hand. Plan the workers’ schedules, estimate costs and prepare budgets to ensure that the workflow meets the required standards and deadlines.
Main responsibilities:
- You will be ultimately responsible for the smooth running of all production lines and the quality of output
- Managing a team of 10 staff per shift
- Planning and organization production schedules
- Determining quality control standards
- Overseeing the production processes
- Monitor production to resolve issues
- Determine amount of necessary resources (workforce, raw materials etc.)
- Ensure output meets quality standards & health and safety precautions
Requirements & Skills:
- Previous experience as a Production Manager
- Knowledge and understanding of the meat / butchery industry
- Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations
- Experience in reporting on key production metrics
- Proficient in MS Office or other software
- Excellent communication skills & good leadership abilities
- Attention to detail as well as strong decision making abilities
