Job Role: Product Owner
Location: Bury St Edmunds (2-3 days a week on-site)
Salary: £50,000-£60,000 DOE

A new and exciting position has recently become live with a leading software company.

They are searching for an experienced Product Owner to join their team on a permanent basis.

The successful applicant will be able to translate business strategy into a technical roadmap in collaboration with leaders across the business.

This role offers a hybrid working structure, after an initial training period, allowing you to work from home 2-3 days a week.

Please note, this company does not offer sponsorship so you will need full right to work in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understanding your product and its users, market, competition, and future trends.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis within our user and partner community to identify client needs, thereby enhancing the product's functionality and value.
  • Take charge of project scoping by eliciting business requirements, translating them into technical specifications and user stories to achieve project objectives.
  • Write comprehensive requirements documentation, encompassing Use Cases, User Stories, and associated Acceptance Criteria.
  • Actively participate in the sprint process, including planning, reviews, and retrospectives, and contribute significantly to prioritizing and supporting the development process.
  • Assist in planning the continuous product roadmap and backlog, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Manage the requirements backlog, ensuring high-quality, well-detailed information for the development team.
  • Provide ongoing support to development teams during delivery, addressing queries and making informed adjustments when necessary.
  • Generate appropriate documentation to ensure clear communication of ongoing development and releases to both the business and client base.
  • Collaborate with other Product Owners to strengthen connections within the entire suite.
  • Work closely with the Professional Services team to ensure the product aligns with customer needs and contribute to complex projects and implementations.
  • Collaborate with the Customer Services team to guarantee they possess the necessary skills and processes to effectively support our products

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrated expertise as a Product Owner in a software development setting, including a track record of leading the delivery of products or specific product features.
  • Ability to make informed decisions that align with both company objectives and customer needs.
  • Effective communicator with great interpersonal skills, capable of clear verbal and written communication with stakeholders at various levels within the organisation and with clients.
  • A creative thinker with the ability to conceptualise solutions, contributing to innovation and maintaining client engagement.
  • Experienced in managing work items using tools like Jira, DevOps, or similar software.
