Opus proudly collaborates with an Electronic Engineering firm specialising in real-time data, products, and services for the Transport industry.
We're currently seeking a Project Engineer to lead and guide various pre- and post-sales engineering activities for the RTI market. This role is ideal for individuals with a robust background in electrical/electronic engineering within the transport sector, coupled with strong problem-solving abilities and a knack for developing turnkey solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting QA testing and validation
- Installation and commissioning tasks
- Subcontractor management
- Method statement and risk assessment creation
- Production of schematics and technical documentation
Skills Required:
- Experience in transport systems engineering
- Pre-sales proficiency: requirements analysis, system design, solution articulation
- System configuration and customisation expertise
- Tender response and documentation capabilities
- Previous experience in testing and repair
- Knowledge of analogue and digital electronics
- Highways electrical experience
- Familiarity with TFT/LED displays, Touch screen HMIs, Vehicle tracking systems
- Experience with Linux embedded software
- Automotive electrics knowledge/experience
- A UK driving license with access to a vehicle is mandatory.
- Right to work in the UK is essential; sponsorship is unavailable.
- Onsite presence required 2-3 times per week, with occasional client site visits.
