Product Design Technician and Estimator

Their bespoke projects are borne from a consultative service offered to clients who wish to realise individual commissions that draw on their design expertise. As a Product Design Technician and Estimator you will be part of the creative and design team, responsible for those individual projects to ensure smooth transition from concept to installation. You will also act as the first point of contact with the Sales Operations team, with the focus to provide design, quotations, pricing and technical support.

Duties and Responsibilities for the Product Design Technician and Estimator include:

• Working to brief to identify and understand customer needs and maintaining the flow of the project information through to completion
• Producing drawings for client approval and ensuring drawings are accurate for manufacture
• Working with the Design Manager to create custom and bespoke considerations on new designs
• Using SolidWorks and the CAD database to ensure all files are up to date
• Providing technical support to colleagues

Skills and Experience needed for the Product Design Technician and Estimator role:

• Minimum of 3 years' professional experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably lighting and/or furniture
• SolidWorks proficiency is essential
• Adobe Suite, you will mainly be using lnDesign and Acrobat Pro
• Strong collaborative skills and be a confident and capable communicator
• Able to work to deadlines with strong planning, prioritisation and time management skills
