Job Title: Product Design Engineer

Salary: Up to £38,000 per annum, depending on experience

Location: Fordingbridge, Hampshire

Job Type: Full time, Permanent

We are a fast-growing international electronics company, constantly developing new products and pushing into new markets.

We need a highly motivated individual to become part of our team to help drive the company forwards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop new products from concept, using sketching
• 3D design and generation of production-ready drawings in Solidworks
• Knowledge of plastics, properties and design principles
• Work within our multidisciplinary teams on a wide range of design briefs
• Keep up-to-date by researching new processes and technologies
• Be a key player in shaping our new product roadmap, generating new product ideas and seeing them come to fruition
• A focus on Design for Manufacture
• Continually improve existing products to maintain our market leading position
• Liaise with our manufacturing teams in the UK and Far East to see your products safely into full scale production

About You:

• Proficient in 3D design using Solidworks or similar tools
• Experience in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator an advantage
• Good communicator
• At least 2 years experience is desirable
• BA/BSc in Industrial or Product Design

Benefits:

• Salary: Up to £38,000 depending on skills and experience.
• Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5pm and Friday 8.30am to 4pm
• Holidays: Starting entitlement of 22 days plus Bank Holidays increasing each year to a maximum of 28 days plus Bank Holidays.
• Sabbatical: One month paid sabbatical after 6 years
