I am delighted to be partnered with TRT Lighting as they look for a Product Compliance & Test Engineer to join the team. They are looking for a driven individual to join the Redditch based team.  They are a well-established business who design, manufacture, and supply sustainable and environmentally friendly performance lighting products for the road/street, tunnel, and exterior lighting markets.
The Product Compliance & Test Engineer will be taking ownership and control internal and external test programs, to ensure that products meet required standards.  As well making sure that
that the in-house test facility complies with health & safety requirements.

Product Compliance & Test Engineer
Job Description
  • The Product Compliance & Test Engineer will carry out the below listed test:
    • Photometry & Spectrometry
    • In-situ Thermal Analysis
    • Ingress Protection
    • Impact, Load and Vibration
    • EMC (Emissions, Harmonics and Immunity)
    • Electrical Safety, Harmonics and Power Analysis
  • Based on the testing you will create and maintain technical product files and declarations of conformities
  • Ensure that all test equipment in the department is calibrated and maintained.
  • Write reports of all technical tests carried out.
  • Implement new and effective methods for the control and issue of technical test reports and procedures.
  • Participate within the new product development

Product Compliance & Test Engineer
Skills & Experience
  • Possess a working knowledge of basic electrical engineering.
  • You will have a familiarity with relevant product standards (BS EN 60598-1 and BS EN 60598-2-3) is advantageous.
  • Hold a minimum 2 years’ experience of testing electrical products.
  • An understanding of electrical safe working practises
  • Able to demonstrate a practical understanding of mechanical engineering practises.
  • Experience with electromechanical troubleshooting and problem solving.
  • Ideally coming from a product development, compliance testing or electrical engineer background
  • Will be experienced working within a process driven environment.
