Procurement Specialist

Seven Social Care is looking for a Procurement Specialist to work with Cardiff Council. 

3 days a week for 6 months £400 LTD

Key Requirements: 

• Leading, directing and co-ordinating all sourcing activity for identified projects
• Prepare tender documentation, analyse and evaluate tender responses up to the award of contracts
• Must be self-motivated and have experience of leading and managing procurement processes within the public sector from end-to end, including practical application and understanding of the Public Contract Regulations 2015
• Ability to work independently and have a track record of delivering results within set timescales.

Applicant Requirements:

• Proven work experience as a Procurement Specialist or similar role.

• Strong understanding of procurement and negotiation techniques.

• In-depth knowledge of contracts and its application in procurement.

• Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and analyse data.

• Experience working with suppliers and negotiating contracts.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong organisational skills with great attention to detail.

• Knowledge in MS Office suite, specifically in Excel.
