RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Collaborate with category managers to facilitate the procurement process for designated projects exceeding £150k, assuming ownership in their absence as necessary.

  2. Ensure the efficient execution of smaller-scale procurement, aligning with category strategies and organisational policies to achieve optimal value for investment.

  3. Offer timely procurement guidance and system expertise to purchasing personnel within our clients team, ensuring adherence to procurement protocols and industry best practices.

  4. Manage supplier on-boarding processes, maintain supplier databases, and update procurement systems to reflect accurate information.

  5. Assist in supplier negotiations, striving to secure cost-effective deals while upholding professional standards and fostering strong supplier relationships.

  6. Maintain the relevance and accuracy of procurement resources, including toolkits and online content, to support users effectively.

  7. Conduct all procurement with integrity, sustainability, and compliance, ensuring timely delivery within established time lines.

  8. Collaborate with the Procurement Analyst to generate timely reports for the Head of Procurement and category managers, leveraging reporting tools to analyse spending data.

  9. Oversee the management of the Procurement Toolkit, ensuring data accuracy and reliability at all times.

  10. Provide procurement and administrative support for Buyer Forums, newsletter production, and other duties as assigned by the Head of Procurement, commensurate with the role's responsibilities and grade.

Salary: up to £36,000

2 days required on site.
