The Company
Nigel Wright's Supply Chain and Procurement Team are working with a multinational manufacturer to recruit a Procurement Manager.

The Opportunity
The Procurement Manager will have the following key responsibilities:
  • Global supplier relationship management across raw materials and packaging 
  • Supplier relationship management, identifying opportunities for rationalisation/cost reduction/avoidance 
  • Supplier/-cost negotiations and performance management, contract renewals/retenders
  • Business partnering internal stakeholders i.e. Quality Control and Assurance, Finance, Technical teams – collaborating to resolve quality issues/ support material changes/NPI
  • Collaborating closely with Planning to understand and interrogate forecasts, demand and inventory
  • Change control management
  • Opportunity to mentor junior team member

About You
The ideal Procurement Manager will have/be
  • A direct procurement background in Pharmaceutical/Chemicals/Food sector as this is a standalone direct procurement role for the site
  • Strategic direct procurement experience essential, accustomed to managing a global supply base
  • Excellent attention to detail, technically minded, able to keep on top of regulatory changes and their impact to direct procurement and supplier relationship management 
  • Proactive, positive can-do attitude, with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Adaptable to the changing requirements and priorities within the business
  • Resilient, strong communicator, confident in challenging and engaging cross functionally with stakeholders of all levels 
  • Willing to travel as required to visit supplier network
