Procurement Manager - BRAND NEW ROLE

Near Stockport - hybrid working

£45-55k salary plus excellent benefits

We are recruiting for a rapidly expanding business who due to growth, are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

It's a brilliant opportunity as not only will you be part of a growing business, as it's the first time they've had someone in this role, you'll be able to come in and put your own stamp on the role, whilst adding a lot of value!

Overview of the role

  • Initially the role will be more admin/task based, as essentially you'll be coming in to review all of the existing suppliers and go through a vetting process again.
  • Building relationships with existing suppliers and also sourcing new suppliers
  • Creating KPI's and SLA's for suppliers and monitoring
  • Working collaboratively with other departments across the business such as utilities and legal team
  • Attending industry events and seminars to gather future supplier details
  • Developing and leading on procurement strategies
  • Identifying supply needs and leading on tender processes
  • Responsible for reporting

Ideal experience

  • Previous procurement experience ideally gained from a property/real estate/facilities management background
  • Experience of procuring hard/soft services
  • Experience in drafting service specifications
  • Ideally a procurement qualification
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong negotiator and proactive
